The Problem
Food waste corresponds to 8% of annual greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, or the equivalent of 4.4 gigatons of carbon dioxide.
Around 88 million tonnes of food waste are generated annually in the EU. [14]
The CAUSE

33% of all food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted [1]

Responsible for 25% of the environmental impact of meat consumption. [2]

100,000 tonnes of readily available and edible food from the UK’s retail and food manufacturing sector is wasted >> equivalent to 250 million meals. [11]
THE SOLUTION
“Want not, Waste not” is key to helping mother earth by reducing food loss and waste.
This decreases the negative impact on the environment of overproduction and waste while increasing access to safe, sustainable food sources for people around the world.
In effect, we are creating two or more products out of resources that formerly produced only one product. “2 for 1” mission.
At Earth First Pet Foods, we use as many UpCycled ingredients as possible with the aim of producing 100% upcycled food within two years.
